ANIMATED SHORT FILM
Two siblings, Raina and Kelvin, bicker amongst one another whilst traversing through their local Chinese New Year Festival. Having been kicked out their house, they’re only allowed to return once they’ve reconciled.
DIRECTOR'S STATEMENT
Influenced by our love and close bond with our siblings, we wanted to create and share a story about sibling dynamics, as well as showcasing that despite being close, there are times you still don’t know them well enough and there will always be new things to discover.
Both coming from an Asian background, as well as each of us having exclusive access to the older and younger sibling perspective combined, we strive to create a nuanced story where most siblings from an Asian household can relate to.
About Us
Alice Nguyen and Victoria Ren are both aspiring film makers who share an interest in relationship- and family-oriented stories. They both love showcasing and deeply appreciate sibling dynamics. Making it the main driving force behind their Honours film, they hope that it inspires other siblings to communicate and open up with one another.

Alice was fond of the research and storytelling aspects of the film, whilst Vic also enjoyed that aspect too but also the production stages of bringing the character animation to life through inbetweening, as well as illustrating the backgrounds.
